Carolyn, owner and groomer, grew up in Augusta, Ar. and has always had a love of animals, which led to being scolded several times for bringing home puppies. At around 8 or 9 years old, she found a little kitten while visiting her grandmother in Mississippi and secretly fed and loved the kitty for a few days before returning home with her family. Somehow, she stowed it away in the car for a 6-hour trip back to Arkansas. Once home, she felt comfortable "surprising" her mom, dad and brother with the kitty, she named Snowball, knowing she would not have to get rid of it after bringing it such a long way. Snowball was not allowed to stay in the house once full grown, so, a few years later the neighborhood kids named her "Cat Lady" after discovering she had 17 cats & kittens. She loved each one. It is no surprise to those who knew her as a kid or those who know her now that her love of animals and unexpected opportunities led her to her passion, working with and around animals.
She has lived in Bella Vista, Ar. for over 18 years with her beloved fur babies Krissy, a 16-year-old calico, Maine Coon mix cat (rescued by her, passed Feb 2022), Buster Brown, 14 years old (passed July 2020), Chico (passed Nov 2, 2010 at age 6 due to poisoning Halloween night) both Weimaraner/Lab mixes and two Maltese babies, Django, 8 and Akeena, 7 years old, as well as, with S'mores, a 3-month-old Mini Rex rabbit (rehomed). For over 16 years she worked as an IT & Business Project Manager, with 14.5 years at the largest retail company in the world, in addition to one of the largest transportation logistics companies in the US and at one of the world's leaders in high technology.
Confident, she will provide high quality service and results using one of the rules she lives by, "Treat others the way you want to be treated" and by focusing on quality over quantity. She realized establishing a high-quality pet grooming business that provides total nose to tail grooming care, while offering optional services (add-on’s / à la carte items) that are actually optional, such as painted nails or a cute creative cut/trim, along with her experience of successfully tackling difficult, but common issues like tear stain removal de-shedding and de-matting, eliminating the need of a compete "shave-down" as a first option, for instance, will add value to the grooming experience and is exactly what her community needs.
She has loved and lost fur babies and understands that unconditional love and connection called family. Rest assured that while your baby is in her care, not only will she or he be professionally groomed, but treated with the same love, affection and attention to detail, her own fur babies receive.
"I'm not just a pet groomer, I'm also a pet consultant. Being a consultant enables me to help pet parents help their fur babies have a healthier and happier life by identifying possible impending health issues concerning the skin and coat. I offer NéVetica™ Your Pet's Choice Supplements and Products natural 100% human-grade supplements for general overall health and options that aid in resolving issues with digestion and anxiety, which can directly affect the skin and coat condition, as well as, dental & oral hygiene care.
